Probably because few here are doing that type of service themselves. I would suggest that you simply visit your dealer and ask them.

I don't know what "Nissan matic S" is but they have been using CVTs in their cars for a while now. I'm not sure but I would doubt that would be compatible with the Infiniti seven speed.

Matic S is the correct fluid for the transmission. You will also need the special transmission filler charging tool (310811EA5A) and the o-ring (315268E000).

Also a laser temperature probe is required to check the ATF temp is at 40c (104F) when checking the transmission fluid level.

You need to do the drain and fill three (3) times to make sure that most of the trans fluid has been replace especially in the torque converter.

Differential uses a 75W-90. I've changed mine to Amsoil 75W-90 severe gear oil.

I took my wife's cars to the dealer for a "flush" of the 7 speed since she's at about 60k miles. From what I've heard before about this transmission being sealed and not needing service, I let it ride a little longer than my gut told me to. All fluids break down, I don't care how good they are or claim to be. Infiniti called this transmission sealed and not for device since they expected the transmission or life of the car to be about 100k miles.

I dropped off the car for service and they supposedly completed this "flush", at a cost of 300 bucks. The same weekend I got the car back, I changed the engine oil (routine stuff I CAN do myself). When I checked around the drain plug of the transmission I didn't see any sign of removal, heck, even the road grime and fine dust from the years was still on the bolt and surroundings. I took pictures of it and until this day doubt they did anything but have no way to prove it, other than draining some oil and checking it. I hate to be speculating or feeling this way, but I wish I would have done it on my own as Tick mentioned. On my G35 coupe I did it his same way every 30k miles I drained and refilled, the transmission lasted over 100k miles and I sold the car with it working like day one...

I can so relate... I keep my cars for a long time and need the tranny to last well over 100k. Over in the g35 forums, we all just did a single drain and fill every 30k. Only changes a bit over 3 quarts, but it was enough to keep it fresh. I definitely need to figure out how to do this myself. Your dealer story is my worst nightmare. Hard to trust anyone.

I'm not worried about the drain plug, in fact you are right, i saw two, one hex and one Allen key style. My question is to refill, even though I own a handheld pump I am not sure where to insert the fluid through.

You need to run the car to 35c-40c and let the fluid to start to drip.
Another way would be to measure the oil that was drained and pump the same amount of oil back. You can only do this when cold as the transmission oil will expand and you may over or under fill.

See instructions for details.
