Default Need remote starter installed. Toronto area

Can someone recommend a professional shop that can install remote starter on my Q50S hybrid?

Would prefer the factory remote with 3x lock to start.

Any help is much appreciated.

Dealer has no experience with hybrid ,they are too scared. They contract the work out to someone else anyways.

There is no OEM option.
Which is a shame.

Per my dealer, the QX has remote start option, but the Q's don't. It is a shame. I have no idea why they wold give us remote "cell app" lock/unlock, but not start.

Try here: http://www.compustar.com/DealerLocat...lerLocator.php or http://www.viper.com/WhereToBuy/

I too am interested in getting a remote starter installed but I do want to point out that by doing so through a 3rd party, you may lose your warranty.

I know it can be argued but due to the modification required in this, it can be lost.

My dealer Endras Infiniti located in Ajax, maybe be able to get one for you? Call them up, if you want contact info let me know. I can provide you with the name. The service manager there quoted me 800 but also said, my warranty will remain fully valid if done this through them.

Cheers,

This warranty could be an issue, I don't know if this is a real fact or just a scare tactic. The dealer price for non hybrid is around $800. I had one local shop quote $350 which is more realistic price, I just don't trust them with my car. Paying more then twice that at the dealer would be very difficult to swallow. But they can't do it anyways.

If you wanna give the info to your dealer, I will appreciate it, maybe their installer is more confident.

I would love to hear from someone in GTA who already had success.

I'll find out, probably today and let you know.

Also I know what you mean by dealer overprice, really really wished there was a factory option like the new tlx

Alright, so i spoke with the service manager at my dealership. I have some bad news and good news. Will start with good news, the service manager said that they can get the remote starter installed on the Hybrid and they will require a week notice.

Bad news? Well its the price, he said since its a hybrid, it will run you about 1300, you can probably negotiate and see if they are willing to bring the price down a bit.

I do want to point out that your warranty will remain intact.

Let me know if you are interested and I can provide you with the contact info of the service manager

Thank you all for replies.
I found that most Viper dealers in GTA can do installation no problem. I think I will go with Krown on Lakeshore in Mississauga. The prices I am getting start at $350 to $900 for full 2 way system with phone integration. I will probably go for something around $600 with 2 way pager and security system.

My dealer finally learned how to install the system, after my lessons. The price structure is crazy though:
Basic one way: 995
Basic two way: 1299
Two way with alarm: 1895

Triple for my fav option. Nuts.
