Default Infiniti Credit Card

I noticed in Infiniti's monthly newsletter that were advertising a new Infiniti branded VISA credit card backed by Synchrony Bank.

INFINITI launches branded credit card with exclusive rewards - INFINITI Online Newsroom

I was wondering if anyone has applied or a member of this credit card and what their experience has been like as far as credit rating needed, limits, APR. I am intrigued by the rewards program this card offers. Specifically the 5 points for gas. I do not know of any credit card that does this year-round. I have the Discover IT and Chase credit cards, but those are rewarded on a rotating quarterly basis. I also have not had any experience with Synchrony Bank.

What are y'alls thoughts?

Default Infiniti Credit Card

I have a discount tire card from synchrony bank. 719 fico score got me 17.99 apr and a 2500 limit. Personally I'm gonna pass on the Infiniti card.
I've had other local store cards via synchrony in the past and the apr has always been 15-18 with limits as high as 10k

Edit: I kinda looked at the Infiniti card and it looks like 17.99 or 23.99apr.

It seems like, if you know you're going to buy another Infiniti, this might be a good deal. Five points per dollar spent at a dealership, or for gas. Three points at restaurants and bars, and one point elsewhere. Each point is worth $0.01 toward purchase of new, CPO or used Infiniti at participating dealers, or towards service at said dealers.

I'm a salesperson at an Infiniti Dealer in the Bay Area. Since many interweb jockeys think all salesmen are untruthful scum, certain users here suggested I put in a signature so you can completely disregard everything I say. YMMV. Click Here to see what customers think of me.

You can PM or Email Me if you are around Northern California and want help with your Infiniti purchase decision.

I have the Visa Signature one that came with 23.99% APR (no chance I'm ever carrying a balance on it). But I was wondering how long it would take for them to release something since Mercedes Benz has a card issued by American Express. If my math is right, it works out to 5% rewards on service and parts when you purchase/redeem at the dealership (or buying but not redeeming gas). Even though the rewards are really only there, it beats the 1% I would get with my Amex cards or Visa. If you redeem for statement credit, each point is worth .5 cents as opposed to the 1 point = 1 cent for redeeming at the dealership, but that's pretty standard comparing it to redeeming Amex points for gift cards.

Good call on the statement credit reward, I'd only get an effective reward of 2.5% back on the 5% category, 1.5% on the 3% category, 0.5% on the 1% category if I were to redeem as this method. Statement credit is my only method as my dealership doesn't participate in this program. I double checked the terms and conditions and can confirm that this is not a good reward card for me.

My dealership is participating so I figure I can use the rewards for either service visits or parts (mainly the Q60 shift knob after a while), and I'll probably just use the card there. I'm going to need the comprehensive 30k service next and I'll need tires (probably will just have them put on since my advisor told me to just buy off TireRack). There was no annual fee and I could use another account since I'm technically still building my credit. My Bank Americard gives me 3% on gas and I'm a preferred customer so they'll give me a bonus, and then I get double points on dining with American Express and I've gotten tons in rewards from them already.
