Just took delivery of my 2017 Q50 Premium this Monday.
I have a long and storied history with Nissan, from owning a 1988 Maxima (PU11 body), to a 99 Maxima, 2005 FX45, 2006 FX45 and a 2006 G35X.
I've also been around the car scene a long time, and was one of the original founders and owners of the NYCMaximas forums.
Got into a 2013 Passat TDI a few years ago as I had a 50 mile round trip for work everyday and it was a great car on the highway, however the navigation head unit felt like it was something made in North Korea, the backup camera was terribly slow but it was a great torquey motor for highway use and it was a lot of fun to drive. I swore to never again drive a non-FI car again.
Since I'm part of the class action recall with Volkswagen, I decided to look at what Infiniti had to offer again. I had stayed away from the brand for a while due to it becoming staid. Once I saw the twin turbo VR30DDTT motor, I knew I had have one.
Best part of it all, never even had to see a dealer. Used an auto broker/concierge service to get me the car at ungodly ridiculously below invoice pricing and deliver it to my driveway. 10 minute of signing a doc package and I had they keys. Never ever dealing with another dealership.
Really happy to be back in the Infiniti family and part of the forums.
