Default BFGoodrich G-Force Sport COMP-2 A/S

QUICK REVIEW

I patiently waited for my Dunlop RFT to wear out. The day came and I had to choose between 2 tires.
The G-Force Comp A/S vs. Michelin Pilot Sport 3 A/S.

I was lucky enough to try both tires on different cars before I made the decision.
In all honesty, I found the G-Force Comp's to handle corners better and are more rigid.
The Michelin's rode a bit better in normal driving conditions.

The price difference between the two was $500 less for the G-Force (in Canada and on sale).

It was an easy decision for me. So far I have been driving with them for 3 weeks.
I absolutely love the tires. They are nimble, sticky and give me better control over the car.

I have really pushed the limit of these tires in corners and in wet conditions. So far it takes a lot of speed to make these tires slip.
My confidence in the car has improved greatly over the RFT. I feel comfortable pushing this car now.

They do have their faults as well, it is not all perfect.
There is a bit of road noise with these, and the ride is a bit more rigid (something I like, but not for all).

All in all, I am very happy with these tires and the cost savings over the Michelin was huge.

You will not make a mistake with either on.

Thanks for sharing your review. Good info. How many miles did you get on the Dunlop RFT's?

I only used them for 6 months of the year, swap winter tires. So, I estimate they lasted about 10,000 miles.

are those dunlop all-season run-flats? seems low for 10k miles. Mine is staggered summer run-flats. Still have >60% thread life when i replaced @8k. I still have them though.

The Dunlop RFT noise is driving me insane and I am trying to decide between these two tires as well and am leaning towards the BFG, like you said the price difference is huge and the BFG's are very well reviewed. Any chance you can post a side profile picture of them mounted?

By rigid, do you mean stiff? Even though I imagine the RFTs are still in another league for stiffness compared to a conventional tire. Mine are gonna need replacing before this winter since at my last service they were at 4/32 and for winter I kinda want to be at more tread than that. No way I'm gonna pay $1600/set so I'll probably go with Continental or Michelin (I had some bubbling issues with my old Conti's).
