Default Best tuner for 2017 Q60 RS (warranty friendly)

Hey guys,

I've trade through several threads here and an still a little up on the air. I want an easy to load tune that is also easy to unload if the car needs to visit the dealership and hopefully doesn't leave a trace. I know I won't get Max horsepower but it looks like 50+hp is still easy with these on 93 pump from my reading.

As of right now, that in mind, what's the best option? Thanks so much in advance for your advice and opinions.

Any current mods on the car right now? I would reccomend lower downpipes and cat back exhaust from Fast Intentions....looking at about 40 hp to the wheels and about 50 trq increase with warranty in tact. My opinion best bang for the buck. HP is not realy a good indicator for power in car look at torque and wheel horsepower for better readings.

2016 RS 400 AWD, Iridium Blue, Stone Leather Interior, DAS, DAP, Precision LED Interior lights, Window tint 50% front 20% rear. Continental DWS 06 245/40R19's, FI CBE and LDP's, Uniden R7,

Wish List- Infiniti HE and intakes, Stillen AWD rear sway bar, ECUTEK, TuxMats, clear Bra wrap, Opti-Coat Pro Plus

The only untraceable "tune" is using a JB4

No matter what if your making those types of changes it can be tracked one way or another (even JB4!) if you plan to keep things conservative go with a JB4 modification. It's easy to take on/off and a harder to track
than a full ECU tune in the event a dealer does go looking for something during an inspection.

But if you are that worried about modifying your car then I'd say don't even bother till your out of warranty, the more cars that have issues because people
done safely tune them the harder it becomes to get normal warranty work covered by a manufacture.

Just remember even if you do have a tune and the dealer knows about it, they still need to provide proof that a tune is what caused the issues
in the first place to deny your warranty. If you have after market wheels on and the engine blows up Infiniti can't deny your warranty.

Yeah, Magnuson Moss. But I think the JB4 is the way to go. Be very unlikely to ever encounter an issue.

So this is my best bet? Looks like about 30hp gain.

If you're going the Burger boost controller route, do spend the extra money for the JB4 instead of the JB1 as the JB4 has a great deal more flexibility when adjusting boost profiles to optimize your engine performance.

Also, spend the extra money for the BT dongle instead of the data cable and get the JB4 app. Then you can easily make changes to the JB4 settings or update firmware from your phone instead of having to attach their data cable to a laptop. This also makes generating and reviewing data logs of engine parameters simple in order to make sure you aren't applying too much boost and risking engine damage.

30-50HP if you get down-pipes and a few supporting mods, the real increase is in the total torque, stock Q50 RS400 hit around 350ft-tq stock so once you have JB4 you are hitting around 450TQ.
And torque is really what you feel when driving around, so don't get too hung up on the HP increase.

This all the way and gains can be over 100whp.

2016+ Premium, JB4, BMS HE, full DPs and Y-pipe.

That depends on whether the OP has a SS or a RS.
