Default 2018 q50

2018 q50
Windows keep rolling down by themselves. WHAT IS IT?? My windows started rolling down by themselves. Luckily. The car is in my garage but I don’t dare drive it and park it. I started the car and rolled them up and then locked it but a few minutes later they rolled Down again. The keys are up on a shelf and nobody is here but me... not accidentally touching the remote like other posts suggest. There is definitely something wrong.

WTF???? GREMLINS (Yet AGAIN!)
That's crazy.

The only thing that's supposed to do that is pressing an HOLDING the unlock button on your remote, or using your "Key" .. turning and holding it in the unlocking position till all the windows and sun roof finish opening.

Maybe your key fob unlock button is sticking?

Sounds like a call to service mgr and making an appointment.

I'm sure Avedis53 will have an idea, or the direction to look onto.

Sorry to hear about this issue you're having to deal with.

If all windows are opening randomly and you're sure that the Intelligent Key fob isn't the problem, then something else is causing the keyless power window down function (opens all windows and the sunroof) to activate.

The Intelligent Key signal is received by the Remote Keyless Entry Receiver which in turn sends the command to the BCM to actuate the appropriate window motors. I'm shooting in the dark here but it could be a faulty Remote Keyless Entry Receiver module that is spitting random commands to do a keyless power window down function to the BCM. It could be a BCM issue also but my primary suspect would be the Remote Keyless Entry Receiver.

I'd say it's Service Department time.

The car came with two remote fobs. Remove the battery from the one you've been using and see if the problem goes away. If so, there is something electronically wrong with the fob or you spilled sugared pop on it and the "Unlock" button is sticking (like John said). If it still happens, take the battery out of the other fob. If it still happens (with the battery out of both fobs), there is something intercoursed up in the car itself. I seriously doubt both fobs are hosed at the same time. Regardless, this should help narrow it down and you can impress the service writer with your troubleshooting prowess when you say you have a bad key fob, and it's THIS one. When you do go to the dealer (the car is under warranty after all), take both key fobs with you as they need all of the fobs if and when they program a new fob to the car.
