All of that was free for myself, but I negotiated that cost in with teh dealership when I picked up my G because they didn't want to come down on the price. So I had them take care of big service items like that on their dime.

Sure there is. It is for the life of the transmission. Now how long that life is without ever changing the fluid is a matter for discussion.

I’m trying to help people who otherwise are misled by SAs and technicians.

120K-150K miles most likely.

But damage is most likely to start appearing around the 60-70,000 mile as that is when most "Life-time" transmission fluids appear to breakdown
and metal shavings/particulates start appearing during fluid changes. Which means your most likely to see transmissions issues after that interval passes, it may just be poor engagement,
rough shifts, hesitation take your pick.

The transmission may not "die", but it's drive-ability can be compromised well before it suffers total failure, spend the $150-200 get the fluid changed easy cheap
Pre-emptive maintenance.

Hey everyone thanks for you response, honestly just for the peace of mind, I am probably going to change both trans and diff fluid soon. For the trans fluid I am definitely using the dealer fluid, but for the diff I was thinking opting for amsoil 75-90. I also want to swap out my motor oil to amsoil too (5w-30) just for consistency. My dealer is allowing me to bring my own fluid, I just have to pay for the labor (which I know is steep) but I trust the dealer a bit more than an independent shop when dealing with critical components. So my question can I buy amsoil only on their website ? It appears z1 and conceptz don’t carry amsoil. Any other reputable places y’all recommend for buying fluid from ?

Amazon can get you what ya need, they are a certified dealer for most places as well so you don't need to worry about the wrong product showing up... Cheaper usually as well.
