Default Infiniti Connection Services

I am going overseas soon and I was wondering if I can use my cell phone and remote start my car while I am overseas using the Infiniti Connection Services app. My cell phone will be on airplane mode, so I will use a wifi connection.

If you have subscribed to the services, then yes, on the app you can remote start and unlock the vehicle. It was a very convientient feature during winter but once my 1 year free trial ran out, @ $33/month for it. Wasn't worth it

But why tho? Want to keep the liquids flowing?

So is the car going over seas with you or are you going to be on opposite sides of the pond?

The car is staying in Canada, but I'm going overseas. I'm going for about a month and I don't want to come back home to a car with a dead battery.

The infiniti Connection Service/InTouch app in the UK does absolutely nothing. I envy you guys.

The cranking amps used to start the car will hardly be replaced with a 10-12 minute idle run, which is how long your remote start will go before shutting the engine off. If you are storing your car indoors a battery tender may be a better setup.

There is also a fuse you can pull for long term storage.

Get a battery tender brand battery tender. Less than $50.00. Best possible solution.

Is that like the Department of Redundancy Department? LOL!

Absolutely the best way to keep your seldom-used vehicle's battery fully charged. Don't mess with remote start for a few minutes. I used a trickle charger on my Jeep that plugged into the cigarette lighter socket so I didn't have to run wires under the hood. Kept the charger inside the car and ran an extension cord out the rear passenger door. If I had to use the Jeep, I just unplugged the extension cord from the wall socket and tossed it in the back seat. When I got back, I just plugged it in again. I paid less than $50 for it and the Jeep would start first time regardless of how long it sat.

Battery tender is the best option. Set it and forget it.

Disconnect the battery when you leave and hook it back up when you get back. I doubt the battery will go flat in one month with no draw on it. Reprogram the radio presets when you get back and allow the transmission to again learn your driving style.
