Question Tech package worth it? Buying used 2015...

Hi everyone, first post here. I am looking to buy a 2015 Q50S. How rare of an option is the tech package? I am in search of a 2015 Q50S with tech package, stone leather and RWD. Stone does not seem like a very popular interior color for the sport model. I have found a couple of them with AWD, but I live in DFW so I don't really need AWD. I am open to anything but a black exterior color as well. I feel like what I am looking for is a unicorn car. I have found many without tech, but with deluxe touring packages. This will be my first "newish" car in 16 years. Is the tech package worth it? Will I regret not getting it? I can wait it out if necessary for the right car to pop up.

I kind of regret not getting a fully loaded 50. Especially when buying used. I wish I had the intelligent cruise for instance. If I were you, I'd hold out for a loaded 50. Good luck.

I bought mine used without anything just nav, it's not big deal honestly. Less things to go wrong, especially when you're out of warranty. Adaptive cruise is nice but it's just a luxury you can live without.

I'm a minimalist myself, gimme a decent set of speakers and some basic nav/bluetooth and I'm happy. Plus less stuff to that can break on you in long-term...

I just picked up a 2016 q50S (white with black interior) with the tech package I've owned a week today. I do like the parking sensors and the camera views front, rear and curbside. I also like the blind spot warning and some other features. I don't use the land departure feature. I havent gotten around to playing with the intelligent cruise cintrol yet. I am glad i got it and happy I drove over 1hr to purchase it.

I've never liked that logic - don't own something nice because something may go wrong with it. Forget that. If you want bells and whistles and niceties, get them. If something goes wrong, it goes wrong. You'll deal with it then. In the meantime, enjoy your extras. They may never go wrong and then you would have gone without something you wanted. The logic is a never ending regression, where do you stop? Should we have crank windows because something can go wrong with power windows?

I say get all the options that you personally want. If you don't want them, understood. But if you want them, don't let the fear of "more things to break" stop you.

See my point isn't that I wan't less technology included in a platform only that I have the choice to pick and choose what goes into my car.
I work in the technology industry so I'm always on the cutting edge of software/hardware and the car industry very much likes to use
consumers for beta testing.

A Deluxe Tech. Q50 is a very unique car. Personally the 2015 models drive by wire was terrible compared to the updated direct adaptive steering but the features you get with the tech are pretty awesome. On the highway the car drives itself and the DCA can be a life saver. You also will get the adaptive front lighting system that works very well among a ton of other sweet features. I’d get it but only with an extended warranty to go with it, its a lot of technology and once your B2B is out, you’ll be paying the cost to fix. Mo’ features mo’ problems lol but “tech” cars are pretty darn cool

I like the Tech package a lot and it has saved me from a couple of close calls (one with a car in a blind spot when merging on the highway and another time when a car that stopped unexpectedly in front of me).
I would say to not limit yourself to just RWD, as a used AWD may be priced the same and will allow you to put more power to the ground.
I had a G37 sedan with the stone leather interior. It was beautiful for 1 day, and then I started seeing my footprints and dirt on the carpet/mats. I absolutely hated that. That car got dropped off of a lift at it's first oil change at Infiniti and the dealer did me a solid and allowed me to pick another one from the lot. I picked one with black interior.
