Unhappy Navigation options

I recently purchased a 2015 q50 that I thought was the "Premium" edition with the Navigation. Unfortunately, it is not. Is there a way to get Navigation on my screen without paying an absorbent amount of money? Also, are there other apps that I am missing? It looks as though there are.

No apps, and there a few options out there to add navigation. All of them are clunky and require some patience. Search android auto, Tesla screen, naviks. That should steer you in the right direction.

Money isn't really absorbent the last time i checked but infiniti dealership would absorb your money pretty quickly when you ask them to install a Nav on your car. Forget the apps, you'll just be disappointed as there are none that's useful enough.

No apps and no way to add oem Navi after the fact, surprise!

The Tesla type screen is your best option

Nothing to see here...

Use some double sided tape to fasten your smart phone to the mostly blank upper screen. Excellent nav at no additional cost.

Your smartphone is your best option.

2018 Iridium Blue, AWD, Q50 Red Sport w/ Sensory and ProACTIVE packages and an illuminated grille emblem that is no longer anything special as my neighbor's lowly Chevy truck has one too.

That Tesla screen comes with some compromises you may or may not be able to live with. No silver bullet here have to pick the one with the drawbacks you can live with.

That just goes to show you how antiquated the InTouch system is. The 2018 Mazda3 my wife bought didn't come with nav but has a 7" LCD for functions like our lower display provides. If you want nav, all you have to do is buy an SD card from Here (same company that Infiniti gets their nav maps from) for $120 and plug it in to the car's SD reader. Instant nav with voice recognition and guidance.

Our nav is so cumbersome, and lacking, to use, I also mainly use my smartphone.. Mostly I do use the "home" button in the Q nav.
I like the "close to" real time construction info on the google maps.

I think the intouch NAV is rather good especially for long journeys and when there is no cell coverage. Nothing will ever beat a smartphone when there is cell coverage.
