Scary, great thread, thanks. How did you black out your chrome (what did you use)? And, I can't tell, are your taillights tinted? If so, what did you use for that? Thanks!

I used the 3M black gloss vinyl. Took a few tries, but hairdryer, razor blade and patience is key.

Tailights are done with the Nightshades spray tint, then I used 2000/4000 grit sandpaper to polish, then clear over the top.

Yep... I actually said that.

@Scary

You think et25s would work, with no rubbing, no scrubbing?

A post from Fitment Industries says his set-up works but the guys at my local shop were very reluctant to recommend it.

It says flush but does it look like it's got a bit of poke?

There's just enough poke to say, "those poke a little bit but it looks clean" but not so much that you say, "Whoa, wtf!?!"

I'll take some pictures and post them up today and post to give you an idea of how it will look. et40 + 15mm spacers = the looks of an et25

I saw that someone did 19x11 Vossens, but then staggered the tires. I would love to see an aggressive 285/295 square setup on a wide 19" wheel on this car. I think that's where I'm leaning. I've done all kinds of fitment on previous rides and I had nice 20" 3 piece wheels on my F10 5 series I just traded in for the q50... but they bend easy, and are mainly for looks. Would rather go forged this time around. I daily the car

that was me. I ran the 19x11 Vossens.

I staggered because RWD and more rubber is needed, but theoretically on an AWD car you could go 285/35/19 or 285/30/19 on the 19x11 +45 Vossens I had and it would look clean af. Just need a 15mm spacer in the front to clear the upper control arm and you're gucci.

I tell you I'm soooooo glad I have 19"'s.
I hit a massive bump at 45 MPH. Enough to bounce the spare tire and hit the bump stops on all 4 corners.

I stopped and checked my rims. Not bent. WHEW!
To close for comfort. The 255/40-19 I'm sure helped too. No way would 20" come out of that one.
No posted "BUMP" sign b4 it was there. Not construction. Very similar to a train track crossing on a steep hill.

Secondary roads need attention as a driver. I was very lucky.

As I have said b4 18" are for go, 19's a very good compromise, 20's for show. 21' & 22's are just stupid on a Q. IMHO
