Default New wheels and tires for my baby!

So, it was time for new tires. Original rims were OEM 17" with Bridgestone RF tires. Things were like riding on bricks! So I took the opportunity to improve the overall look with some new 19" rims.

Found 19x9 OEM dealer take offs from a Q60 on Ebay for about 1/2 price. Perfect condition, no blemishes at all. Ordered a set of 245/40 Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 + tires, had the TPMS sensors moved to the new wheels and mounted. Fit is excellent.

Car rides better on 19" 40 series tires than it did on 17" 55 series. Obviously the RF tires had a lot to do with that. Handles much better, ride is quieter and smoother. It's a win all around!

When they wear out try the 255's. They provide better rim protection as the load capacity is higher. You don't have to run them quite as high PSI so are a bit better on expansion joints. I'm very glad the dealership installed them at no cost. They kept the POS runflats in trade.

Not a bad idea. I was concerned about them rubbing, that's why I went with the 245's.i figured these would fit. Afraid of pushing my luck i guess.

Mark, not to worry. 255's fit OEM 19' rims and clear everything. The dealership installed them on my car swapping out the RF tires in an even swap. I did however pay for the spare tire option.
My aftermarket forged rims are 9.5" wide and poke 7mm out more, which is not noticeable and still clear everything.

They handle fantastic. Maybe a few $ more than 245's but I think it's well worth it. My speedo is now spot on too. Verified by radar and GPS both.
