Default swaying issue

hey guys whats up i have a 2014 awd premium q50, im the second owner i got this car with 28k on the dash its now at 80k and i recently changed my stock rims for 20/10.5 farrada fr2 rims and since then ive been experiencing a crazy swaying motion when i drive over uneven pavement. ive had the wheels balanced, i got an alignment, also had the rims checked for cracks and signs of being bent....nothing... recently i took it to a local mech who checked the front end, but they didnt find anything. when he drove the car he said he felt exactly what i was talking about but doesnt know what it causing it.

fyi the car isnt lowered, i didnt put any spacers on, i did put hub centrics on just to flush out the bolt pattern of the new rims thats all. what do you guys thing.

I just"thing" (just busting your hump.. autocorrect bs) that it maybe your tires. Also, wider tires tend to follow road surface patterns too. Like rain grooves, metal bridge grating, and "scarfed" pavement in construction zones.

255 is plenty wide, and going with 255/40-19 has a higher load capacity to protect the rims too. I can run less air for less harshness and better grip too.

If RWD I may have gone wider in the rear. Even with my LSD my 255' UHP AS tires spin a bit, unless warm out. Now tuned it may be a bigger issue. UHP Summer tires will fix that.

i don’t think it would. Anti-sway bar only reduces body roll. From what i read above, your issue isn’t about body roll.

I really like my rear anti-sway bar. But don't think it's the problem.

Hi - here is my opinion. Let me say I have had a lot of Infinitis - in this order:

2008 G35S sedan (my first and favorite Infiniti)
2011 Maxima SV (temp car for 5 months)
2012 G37S Coupe (wrecked)
2012 EX35
2012 FX37S
2014 370Z roadster
2014 Q50S
2015 Q70S
2015 370Z coupe
2016 QX70S
2018 Q70S

Other notable cars:

2011 V8 Vantage
2016 Audi S6
2016 Audi S5
2018 Audi Q7
2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I have upsized tires on every one - except the 2016 QX70S. On all the sedans, especially the ones with the sports suspension, I have gotten that same swaying feeling. In my opinion is is just the tires transmitting road back into the car. Its like it was designed specifically for only the stock tires size...and the suspension does not know what to do with additional input. I found that the wider the tire, the worse it gets.

But it is also wholly dependent on the roads where you live. It was much less noticeable on most Los Angeles roads, but very noticeable on the roads here in Dallas. Cement versus asphalt. and rain grooves that a lot of cities put into their roads makes it really back. Tramlining all over the place.

I also noticed that if you widen the track and its uneven - like more than the rear than front, it will make the problem worse. So if running spacers, make sure the front and rear are very close to the same lines up spec.

Last thing...tires, tires tires. Super grippy tires can make it worse. When I swapped my tires the first week I bought it I went to Michelin PS4+ - made it quieter but also added to the sway on some road surfaces.

I did noth ave the same issue with my FX/QX, my G37S coupe, Maxima or Z's.
