That is OLD news... I have been telling you guys this for 3-4 months now.. Even though the price is going down I do not think it will affect the leases too much , they will just take away the $2500 rebate and raise the MF.. Infiniti leases out most of there cars, so customers have no clue or care what they are paying as long as they like the lease payment..

Wait a minute.

A 2014 G37 Journey Sedan with Premium and Nav will start at $32,550?

The window sticker on the 2013 for the same package is $38,255, but of course nobody is paying this amount and it appears these are going for just over 32k in my area per Trucar.com and Edmunds. So as mentioned in the article, the sticker price is dropping to meet the actual transaction price, which is good if there is actually more room to wiggle down from here.

I know Costco moves the Journey with Premium all day for 35k. I wonder if we can end up getting a loaded 2014 for right around 30k.

This is Jetta/GTI territory, not performance luxury sedan.

I feel this is the best car for the money. I visited the infiniti dealership since my lease is up in 2 months and dont feel like the q50 is worth the extra hype. The trans and engine is the same, the interior is a little nicer because its new, but still on the smaller side, front is better looking. I just dont think its a better performance car for extra 30 percent more money. Maybe it drives a lot better because of different suspension but I didnt drive the car.

I believe they mean that the g37 Journey will be $32,550 and the g37x will be $34,150. The Premium and Nav packages will be additional (currently $2,500 and $1,850 respectively).

Right now on the site, the g37 Journey starts at $37,350 and the g37x starts at $38,950, so this is about a $5,000 reduction.

This puts a pretty much loaded g37x at under $40k MSRP, likely less out the door. Very compelling compared to what you get in one of the typical competitors (Q50, BMW 3 series, MB C class, Audi A4, etc.) that loaded up would be $10k+ more.

And why would anyone opt for a Maxima?

I really loved the current Maxima when it first came out. Too bad they haven't refreshed it in awhile. Gives you luxury without the luxury tag, so you can stay under the radar :)
I too love the look of the Maxima. In fact, I like it as much as the exterior of the g37.

But when you add in the service level and free loaners of the Infiniti, potentially at a lower price point, it becomes a no-brainer to go with the g.

with that being said...even forgetting its price....its a pretty good car. it was definitely an awesome alternative to a 335.......which is how the Q50 should have been as well...until infiniti decided to go crazy with the prices
You've priced the 335i right? A Q50 minus some options slots in way below it. Fully loaded and you're in the same bracket. I think the Q50 is still an awesome alternative to the propeller brand.
