Recent spy photos of the next-generation Infiniti G sedan revealed that it is nearing completion. Now reports suggest it’s heading to the 2013 Detroit Motor Show for its debut.
The next-generation G series is expected to be influenced by the Emerg_e concept car in sedan form with the coupe and convertible variants to follow later in 2013. With the new generation of the automaker’s popular model, Infiniti will likely grab powerplants from Mercedes with even diesel variants heading to Europe.
The biggest question still is whether or not Infiniti will depart from its popular VQ engine that Nissan has developed, which has given its G Series models the sporty drive that enthusiasts have come to love.
