I test drove this car this weekend and it was pretty dang nice...the exterior is way better in person than in pictures...however the car was pretty boring to drive...I got invited to race the car at a special event at Houston race way park along with compare them to Audi, mercedes, bmw...not sure if they'll have infiniti but I doubt it. The event is on July 13...should be pretty fun. I hope infiniti does something like this but I haven't heard anything like it before...

Lexus has been promoting the IS very aggressively. A lot of reviews of the new IS are out. It beat the 3 series and ATS in a C&D review already which is impressive. I wish there are more unbiased reviews on the Q50.

I drove one a week ago. Very good handling and about as fast as a G37.
It has a much better ride and refinement: Engine sounds smooth and not as gruff as the G37. Steering feel is not as good as the G37 but great for an electric steering.

The controls for the radio/navigation are a complete mess even worse than the Cadillac ATS. Back seat has good knee space but is cramped and uncomfortable.
I like the overall look but the F Sport front end is horrendous in my opinion.

I also drove a Sport-line BMW 328i the same day: As fast as the IS350, amazing transmission, better controls and much better rear seat space. The steering feel is really disappointing, it is like Lexus and BMW switched roles.

Going back to my G37 it felt like a sports car (I use the term beast:D): gruff engine sound, rough ride, much much better steering feel and sharper handling. It is fun but tiring (that is why I have my Miata for).

I have a feeling that the Q50 will be the best, only worried about the adaptive steering.

Saw some @ the lexus dealer beside the infiniti dealer i pre-ordered my Q50 from and they seem nice! Didnt try to test drive yet but I am dissapointed that US doesnt get the IS300h and the Ultrasonic Blue paint!

Vossen is currently doing a build on this for SEMA and it looks nice! Looking forward to what they'll come up with!

That maw at the front is hideous! I can't imagine coming out each day and seeing that, first thing. On the upside, I guess it might scare anyone who's in front of it. Then throw in the totally discombobulated dashboard, and there's zero chance I'd ever consider it.

Cant agree more on the Lexus Enform system. The mousepad is absolutely horrible. It never goes where I want to actually click!! And I tested the one in the GS350 with a much bigger screen (12 inches ;)

Love the pic Afrosheen!!

Just did a quick search on google looking for any reviews (guess Infiniti is really holding tight onto the 7/3 software update rule - which is good!) and found the Q50 listed on a Lexus forum. LOTS of Lexus fanboys and I would say about 90%+ of the comments about the Q50 were extremely positive. I was really surprised. Many were considering the Q over the new IS.

I had really expected a lot more slamming and negativity but there was a ton of interest from long time Lexus owners. Especially the hybrid - that really seemed to get a lot of attention.

Found it interesting. . .

It's a good value and the styling is less polarizing than the new IS. Simpson said I slam it every chance I get, and maybe he's right, but only because I almost bought the 2013. What they did to the 2014 looks awful to me, including the hump across the dash. The sides and greenhouse of the car remain the same but they threw that crazy nose and tail on it to jazz it up, making it look like someone's dad wearing Affliction shirts and adidas.

Have you seen it in person? I hated it in pictures, but it looks much nicer in person. Driving it, though, was boring to me...
