I think that it is pretty clear that the Lexus RC F is going to be more expensive than the Infiniti Q50. It should also be more fun though. You could also go with the Eau ROuge Q50 once it comes out. It will have four doors.

It's going to be a great car. The styling is subjective- Lexus clearly is in its Bangle period. I do appreciate the added detailing over the IS sedan's boring, cheap interior door panels. The RC's are much more palatable.

If Infiniti builds the Eau Rouge, they will have something like this. And they will build it if their President isn't a liar.:D

really.. denial

Lets say Infiniti never had or has anything like this.
Neither did Lexus until 2007. I'm optimistic Infiniti is about to really start showing some performance in a big way. After all, Infiniti may not have done this yet, but Nissan most definitely has.

Man, tough crowd. Anyways, cheers to Lexus on a bold design and a car that will no doubt be a thrill to drive.

It's pretty busy from a design standpoint, with reflections coming from all over the place, and that awful Predator grille. Still, the overall profile is nice and sharp, and the interior is impressive. I don't remember if this is supposed to have the V6 or the V8 like the outgoing IS-F.

Infiniti better get with this Eau Rouge stuff, Lexus is putting on the pressure with their upcoming -F cars. The IS-F was just the beginning, and the GS-F is right around the corner. Exciting time to be a driver regardless of who you root for. ;)

biggest issue, Torque converter. How can they say they're going M hunting when the dont have a DCT or a MT!!?!?!?!!!!!
+1

For those who are mentioning the BRZ/FRS and Q60/G37 Coupe

I hope you realize this is a V8 meant to compete in the RS4, C63AMG, M4 market. Infiniti doesn't even have an answer to this market. So kudos to Lexus for stepping to that level / or an attempt to.

Does anyone know how reliable the outgoing IS-F is? I'm curious if the myth has been dispelled that Japan couldn't or wouldn't make high-performance luxury cars in the past because it sacrifices reliability and thus would soil their reputations. I sure hope that Lexus is able to top even AMG (they've been pretty well-behaved lately), and that Infiniti will follow suit.

It sure would be nice to buy an out-of-warranty luxury super sedan/coupe without expecting a $10,000 repair in your first year of driving it.:D

This is from one of the writers at Cars.com, after looking over the car at the Detroit Auto Show. Sound familiar? ;)

This new Lexus "design language" has to stop, because as language goes, this is gibberish. It's certainly daring and swoopy, but it's not in the least bit attractive, and that's disappointing given the car's impressive mechanicals. The gaping grille, the odd taillight shapes, the completely boring dashboard that looks like it was designed with nothing but a straightedge ... just no.
