Don't get me wrong. I think the Q50 is head and shoulders better than the G35/G37. It is just the better and more luxurious car.

But I still have that soft spot for the G! Something so intangible about how it felt to drive it. I don't think the Q50 drives anything like how the G drove!

I traded my 2007 G35x in for the Q50. Dealer paid off the car for $12k and it looks like the car was sold at an auction to another dealer...I found the car on the new auto sales site:

2007 Infiniti G35x

Can't believe the price! I wish I had more time to sell it privately.

Chris...you received average trade in for your car...and the dealership is asking full retail plus a bit. That's the game....but they likely won't receive anywhere near the asking price. Furthermore, in most states you saved sales tax on the trade amount so the actual value of your trade is more like 12,700 (if your sales tax is 7%).

Not at all. I'm loving the hybrid Q so far that every time I see the G on the road it looks outdated.

NO, I sure don't miss it. Well, ok...I miss that it didn't have a payment.

I do, especially when I see another black G37 like my previous car.

I said it before and I'll say it again, if it was a G37 S with nav, I would of bought it out and kept it.

I drove 2012 G37 as a loaner. The car was kind of faster, I mean gas pedal was easier to push and the car took off faster. I have to push mu Q50 gas pedal muuuch harder to achive the same result. Then it is a rocket. But it somehow feels heavy, same as my son's G35. I like the way G37 was driving, I hated the resolution of the screen. I LOVE inside of Q50, although we will have to wait a while till the ITouch engineers put their **** together. After all, the car looks nice outside and inside, I wouldn't take back my BMW328i and I'm stuck with the car anyway.

You know you can put the transmission to Sport on the Q50 and it felt a lots like the G37. On top of that, the Q50 refined transmission is a lots smoother. I never own a G37, but I had drove 3 G37 loaner (2 G37 and 1 G37S). Even thought it felt quick from stop, but the first 3 gears shifting is driving me nuts. It seem like they put the first 3 gears in steroid.
Compared to my Q50S Hybrid, the G37 actually felt slow.

My car is at the dealership right now so Im driving a g37 loaner, and god I dont like it at all. For some reason I feel the steering is too heavy and the interior and exterior too bland/outdated. I do like the solid feel of the car though.

I cant believe im going to say this, but I prefer the DAS over the conventional steering on the G. I feel so much understeer on this loaner.

Well, I have Q50 premium, you have more horses. The G37 I'm talking about had no choice of sport or standard, it just drove better in default mode.

Well i had a g37 coupe non sport, and my q50 is a sport, so i cant really say I miss the G too much because I think my q50 handles way better and feels more solid.

But...I do in some way miss that crazy little G. I still love seeing some nice G37 coupes around town, and must say that they still look very sweeeeett!!

I think all of us former G coupe owners will always have room in our hearts for that amazing car.

Oh well tho, on with the new!!!

I miss my G35, but the Q makes up for it
