This is one of my favorite mods on cars. Has anyone painted the calipers on their Infiniti Q50? If so, what color? Any pics?

Below is a pic of the calipers I painted on my 2004 Corvette. I think a similar red would look great on the Graphite Shadow Sport model I'm considering. I've always liked that color combo.

Thanks. I just checked out the build thread. You've been busy!

I like the calipers and I think the red was the right choice. The stock Sport wheel spokes are pretty thick and cover up the calipers so I think once you get your new wheels on, they will show more.

Sorry you have to run a front plate in CA. I really wish all states would get rid of them. Just charge the difference if they are worried about losing revenue. With all the technology available today, I'm surprised they still need front plates at all.

Yea it sucks! Hopefully a hide away plate can remedy the whole thing! Wish I kept my OEM 19 from my G35 since it showed more of the brakes but then again I plan on getting aftermarket wheels anyway! :D

Had it done by a shop and had them color all the gunmetal area to gloss black, matching the brackets on the fog lights!

What's funny is that I don't think I've ever seen a car with the front brake calipers located in front of the wheel axle instead of behind it. All of my other cars have had the calipers located behind the front wheel axle and in front of the rear wheel axle.

After reading this i made an effort to look at cars on the freeway going home. of the ones that had wheels where you could see the caliper it seemed to be about 52% to 48% in favor of the front. noticed that most full sized PUs where back while most Asian Cars where front but American cars had both depending on brand & size of car. The Benz i saw was a back....

That Iridium Blue would be awesome on the calipers.

I even think, if I didnt rush into painting my calipers, the ventian ruby would be a nice color for calipers as well and would be quite unique compared to other common caliper colors! :D
