I just bought the Q50. One of my main complaints is that the armrest feels cheap and has about no padding.

Unfortunately, the way I drive long trips, I always lean my arm on it. When I rest my elbow on it, I can feel the plastic edges underneath it. What would have been nice is another inch of padding.

Any ideas of how to go anything about it? Replace the whole armrest with something that has a solid mold without the edge?

Perhaps some G37 / Maxima parts would fit?

This, is not really sexy enough:

You are the first person to complain about armrest, I personally love it, I'm sure there are some covers you could find online
Or pillow...

I doubt something from another car would fit. It's probably a good idea to go with the eBay cover to give you the comfort you are looking for and to keep from damaging the armrest.

+1 on the pillow. I used to do that in my TL.

You might find that changing the seat height might help in adjusting how much pressure you place on the armrest.

I found the center armrest comfortable, no matter the height. However, I found the door armrest uncomfortable until I raised the seat.

YMMV.

I'll just say that I like the material they used on the armrest a lot more on the Q50 compared to the G37. The armrest itself, although I agree is flatter than the G37, which was a bit more curvy, has always been comfortable to my arms. :)
We all like curves, don't we?:p
