I want to mirror my iphone to my screen so that I can watch movies because I spend extended amounts of time waiting in my parked car. Do I do it by using those ports? If so, does anyone know the name of the wire that I would use (iphone)? I tried to put my DVDs in the disc slot but they didn’t read. I used to have an Apple Car Play from Best Buy that I was able to watch DVDs on.

You can't play DVD's in the CD changer and there's no Apple Car Play in the Q50 so if you want to mirror your iPhone output to the upper display, you will need to get a Lightning to HDMI adapter, a HDMI to RCA video/audio adapter and a RCA audio adapter to 3.5 mm stereo plug.

With that rat's nest of wires, you connect the RCA video output to the AUX video input and the 3.5 mm stereo plug to the AUX audio input. These are located in the Media Hub that is in the center console. The system should switch to AUX mode automatically when there are jacks plugged in.

You can go into the Settings under Audio to the AUX settings and there you can turn the image display on/off, select between Normal, Wide or Cinema image sizes and select between Low, Medium or High for volume.

The kicker is the system will not let you watch movies while the car is in motion. You will need to get a NAVI bypass in order to watch movies while the car is not in Park.

Still need a stereo RCA to 3.5 mm stereo plug cable with the converter. The RCA audio jacks won't connect to the car otherwise.
