Auto locking....

Just wondering whether it is possible to have the Q50 auto lock when driving off?
Also, is it possible to have the door mirrors set to auto fold when locking the car from the outside?
Thank you.

Auto lock yes. You can set it in the menu. I think under Vehicle?

As for auto fold, you must be in Europe/Asia then. We dont have that function in North America. So cant comment
Thank you for replying, yes, I am in the UK,
Nothing in the manual or in the screen settings regarding auto locking though.
I think he is asking if he can have the auto lock feature turned off. The answer is no. The locks will always lock while driving, once you hit a certain speed (15mph?). Your three choices are to have them never unlock automatically, unlock when you place the shifter in Park, or unlock when you turn off the engine. I have mine unlock when I shift into Park.
No, I want auto lock to be on.... To be honest, I don't think it's available in the UK for some reason.
I always have to lock mine manually.

Oh! You can have mine then! ;)
It's the same with the Nissan Qashqai as well (I think it's called Rogue Sport over there)
I'd give up my auto lock for auto folding mirrors any day of the week! You're lucky!
I don't have auto folding mirrors, just power folding

I see. Meaning they don't fold automatically when you park? But you do have a button to fold them? That's still pretty cool. I wonder what it would take to add that to a U.S. model. I remember some doing it to the 4th gen Maxima! Where is the button located?
That's right, it's strange how things are different in different countries
I like my auto locking doors. It keeps me from being ashamed that I am judging people outside of my car when I manually lock the doors around them because of their appearance. Kind of the same reason I won't use public transportation.

Haha, so far I've always remembered to lock manually.
Funny thing is, most car manufacturers here do have auto locking, Volvo, all the German cars, Jaguar, my daughters Mini etc etc.
Not to worry though, it's still a brilliant car, in my opinion it's better than the equivalent German cars.

Nope – no auto fold in Europe. One of the car's little flaws.

In my car auto locking is available in the menu – with speed (over 15 mph or so) or out of "P"...

The Qashqai has auto fold mirrors though!!! Weird
I'd also give up the lame auto seat and steering wheel retraction in exchange for power mirrors. Tried it for a week, turned it off, haven't looked back. It made it hard to put my kids in the rear seat (their feet would touch the back of my driver seat until it slid forward). The B pillar was in the way of entry/exit. I felt like I would 'fall' into my seat as opposed to just sitting down. The brake pedal and the start/stop button took a lean and stretch to push. Plus, the poor wear and tear.

Why am I complaining so much about something I don't have to use?
I don't mind the steering wheel, but my seat doesn't move at all as I have my dog cage wedged between the front and back seats.
I've had my car coming up 7 weeks now and I'm still finding it hard to get used to the handbrake being a foot pedal! Haha

That foot brake is an embarrassment.
Just have to run with it, I'm sure I'll get used to it, apart from that it's a fantastic car, easily the best car I've ever had and I'm old!!
