Came across these tonight and thought came to me if these could be used as subtle interior lighting in our cars? What do you guys think? Too bright? Ricey? I'm looking for something subtle...

I have it installed the first week I got the car and it is still working fine.
I wired it to the door and it lights up when the door opens.

What light kit did you get? Do you have wiring instructions?

I bought it in local store. You can buy any LED strips (in amazon probably).
I wired to the fuse box and the ground on the door. I think this is the easiest way to do.
I think there is a thread in this forum that describe the kickplate installation if you want to wire in there. I was too lazy to open up the dashboard area.

Yep, I think I'll get one set... And install it to the passenger side to see how it looks then get the second one if I like it.

i might try that but in white, how do you wire it so it lights up with the map lights either via manual activation or by a door opening.

Edit : actually i guess wiring it to a door would probably be a better idea, any DIY walkthroughs ?

My assumption is you need to wire it to the map light ground wiring...
