Carplay setup

Just wanted to pass this along as I thought it was a pretty good deal for $305 shipped. I ordered one so we'll see. I mainly just want it for JB4 gauge viewing.

Thanks for this, unfortunately Its not going to work for JB4 gauge viewing if its only apple carplay since the Jb4 app isn't supported by apple car play.

Unless it has a android interface where you can download apps to it then it will work but it looks like its car play only so you might be disappointed

No it's CarPlay and Android Auto, so it should work if I'm thinking correctly

Nice. That's a much more reasonable price than those $600 Unavi rip-offs that keep advertising here on the forum. :rolleyes:

Let me know how it goes. I just want Android Auto so I can use Google Maps.

Well I ended up canceling my order because I was told I couldn't monitor the JB4 gauges with it. Bought a used Boosted6 setup as it's the tablet style... just to get told the same thing. At this point, I'm just lost 😕 Is it simply too much to ask to just view what my car is doing lol

I installed Unavi system in my vehicle and it's certainly not a rip off, it works great with my S23 Ultra and with the new Coolwalk upgrade, I can't believe Infiniti didn't include this in such an expensive "Luxury" vehicle. I wonder how someone would come to the conclusion it's a rip off, I dealt with them and are very professional, helping me throughout the purchase and install process, unlike any Aliexpress vendor would do lol. I would have paid 1,000$ for the upgrade to my Q50. 🤷‍♀️

$600 just to get your car to do something it should already do from the factory??? BTW my 2018 Maxima had Android Auto. Why doesn't Nissan's "luxury" brand do the same thing. I can't see any other use for Android Auto other than for Google Maps. So $600 for one feature is ridiculous to me. If you would have paid $1000 for it, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.

You definitely want to check out this thread to get some insights into the potential risks involved when installing products that connect to your top screen.

At the bare minimum, there's a high chance of breaking the clip in the screen, which means you'll have to shell out anywhere from a couple hundred dollars to a whopping $3000 for a replacement screen. It's quite a hefty expense, I must say.

Moreover, when using the product, there's a significant risk of your screen catching fire. It's simply not advisable to open up and attempt to service something that wasn't designed to be accessed in this manner. Safety should always be a priority.

Personally wouldn't link that thread if I were in your shoes.

BTW saying : "I want to assure you that my intention here is not to be passive-aggressive or bash any specific company"

Followed by: "One such example is the Smart Auto Kit, which is essentially a rebranded overseas product of inferior quality."

In the same paragraph is laughable at best, but is really just blatant lying/hypocrisy and slander lol.
