My current car came with a clear bra when I bought it from the dealer. I honestly think it has saved the paint on the front portion of the hood, front quarter panels and mirrors. I didn't notice any clear bras on the cars on the lot this weekend. I can't imagine not having one on my car at this point. Have any of you asked about the availability of these from your local dealers?

Haha! Beat me to it! So kinky to ask openly in the forum! :p

On a serious note, I actually searched a bit previously and found that the quality the dealer gives u isnt as good and most advised to go elsewhere! The ones recommended were Xpel Ultimate and Venture Shield Ultra! It can be quite expensive though, going to about $1500 for the full bumper, fendrers and hood, so I passed on doing that! :(

You are correct on the quality of the dealer bra; however, it was better than nothing at the time. It yellowed after a couple of years and my husband and I installed a new one ourselves, (also installed complete front end coverage on his Maxima [PITA]). I guess I was just hoping the quality from the dealer had improved.

Regarding the 3M spray, I did check out that product - some reviews were SOOO bad that I won't even consider that. I think there are just too many factors that can jack that whole process up.

I guess when the time comes, I'll bite the bullet and pay somebody.

Gobin,

Doesn't look noticeable on the FX which is good. On the white it is pretty noticeable, could be the way the picture is taken. Did you use the 3M Paint Defender or Xpel Ultimate?
