Ever since I purchased my Q, I've been sort of kicking myself for not investing in the Nav system. Not only is the clock an annoying reminder that I was too cheap to fork over $1400 for the navvy (which I doubt I would have utilized, but is a lot nicer to look at than the **** clock), but it's just plain useless! Especially since I no longer have hands on the clock face, and the TIME\DATE are completely WRONG!

I've turned the car on\off, did a reset, etc... and nothing, still an empty handed clock and wrong date!! I mean c'mon! A broke clock is supposed to be right at least twice a day right???? How about a clock with no
[email protected]%@$ing hands!!!?!!?!?

I'm scheduled for a 5,000 mile service, (although I'm at 4700) and a software update, hopefully that will take care of it.

Sorry man, the Q50 without Navigation is one sad car to stare at from the interior.
I drove a Q50 loaner without the Nav and it felt so bland from the inside. I can't believe navigation is not a standard for a luxury car (even if it is entry level).
My Q50 with Nav + red/yellow/green line realtime traffic add a nice touch to the interior atmosphere.

It have been bothering me since I bought the car. Stupid clock is a default. I could settle with audio screen, anything else. I hope the software upgrade will give us an option of the default to eliminate the clock. I don't need navi, (although because of the boring look I'd get it now), BT navigation works perfect from Waze od Google maps while listening music. Even Infiniti logo would be better, the one when you start up the car.

I remember back in 2009-2010 when I thought I had no use for navigation or even a rear camera and now, there's no way I'm going back to a car without them. They're the kind of options that hurt the most at the times when you do need them.

btw, the clock is hideous and makes the car look cheap!, miss the old analog clock. Luxury car should always have this.

No, he meant printing out a photo and gluing it onto the screen. Or you can have kinkos print you out a fake nav screen in glossy photo paper. lol

Come on, be nice. But you did put some thoughts in it...You mentioned the glossy paper so it matches lower screen. Hahaha.

lamalama's comment made me realize that without hands, Dstew now has a truly Infinite clock.

Oh, and InfinitiPlusOne, you can count on fewer strippy loaner cars going forward. There's a new program for dealers for loaner cars that will give us an incentive to use cars we can re-sell once they've been in service for a while. Cars w/out Navi don't re-sell as well.
