This is something I don't understand. I would like to get the tech package because I want Blind Spot Warning and Lane departure prevention! But in order to get it, i have to pay the 3100 deluxe package first?

This is common? I can get the base model with BSW and LDP in BMW and Lexus. I dont understand their reason for this? Is maple wood trim required for these tech?

Very puzzled!

I suggest heading to your dealer and asking if they bundle things up! On the Q50 microsite, they had the Nav Package and the Deluxe Tech package bundled but when I got to the dealer, I got what I wanted! Which was just to add the Nav package!

I think the early Internet orders are bundled to make the production easier and to maximize profits from the early adopters.

I am looking at a non-hybrid sport with tech and my dealer said there were 50 of the next 300 being shipped with the tech package. A post on this board with the order guide shows Infiniti is only expecting about 10% of the sports sold will have the tech package but if they can get that extra profit early, it looks like they are going to push them out there in higher numbers initially.

I believe the safety features are tied into the direct adaptive steering system; i.e, the direct adaptive steering system is bundled as part of the deluxe touring package. Is this just Infiniti trying to make extra money, probably. The easiest thing for them to do is to have put the direct steering in the tech package or offered it as standalone...

7K to get what is now basic/common safety features in all cars (non-luxury brand) is absurd. No OTHER car company does this. BSW and LDP are standalone options (or the two are packaged together as a safety package) at Lexus, BMW and Mercedes. I am having a love and hate relationship with the Q50 right now. I do want to goto the actual dealership to confirm this.

Please do, because i built a Q50 on edmunds and when i selected the tech package, deluxe touring was required as well.
