Hey guys I'm terribly sorry, this is going to be a very stupid question I'm sure, but how do you know if you're car has direct adaptive steering. Sorry, I was sold my car and I brought it to a different dealer than which i bought it and the salesman tells me I don't have it. I contacted the general sales manager from the dealer which I bought the car and he told me all q50's come with this feature. Please help. Once again sorry.

If you have a Hybrid you have DAS. If you have a Gasser with the Deluxe Touring Package you have DAS. Not all Q50 have DAS. And your dealer should know that.

In the gas model, you get DAS in the deluxe touring package, so if you do not have this, you have a normal rack and pinion steering column. However, every Hybrid has DAS standard.
um its probably easier to tell him what options are included in the deluxe touring package.
So if you have any of these: you have DAS.
Auto-dimming outside mirrors with reverse tilt-down
feature Maple Wood Accents
60/40 split-folding rear seats with center armrest pass-thru
Power tilt and telescopic steering column
Dual occupant memory system for driver's seat
So if you have any of these: you have DAS.

Easy. If you constantly have to adjust the steering wheel while you driving, you don't have DAS. Period!

or a 100% sure chance...if your driving setups include steering weight and ratio..then you have DAS, if not then you dont...
Overall, I wouldn't sweat it much.
Everyone with DAS before December has at least one recall so far for it.
Maybe more will come?
It sounds like a few people still have problems with DAS engaging when the car starts at super cold temps even after the recall.
Mind if I mind asking is it a big issue for you???
I'm mainly asking because it wasn't a main selling point for me, although I do have DAS and like it.
DAS is standard on all Hybrids weather it's a Q50 or Q50S.
But it's not standard on 3.7L models.

You didnt even tell us what package you've got?
Probably not a big deal, even then you probably should've read through the fine print of what comes in what packages before the car..

Furthermore, your General Manager at the other dealership should be smacked if he told you exactly that "all Q50s have DAS".
