Drop Bear Oil Pan

Wasn't too tough. And glad to of picked this up and install. I was due for the oil change service interval anyways. So snagged some fresh Synthetic 0-20 and the nifty NISMO oil filter from Z1.

What was most surprising to me was how much of my old oil was still in the factory pan when dropping it. A little disturbing for me personally. But looks good. Factory shroud fit no issue. And got a nice extra quart of oil to try and keep the snails healthy and happy!

I also have a Shelby GT350R .
Friends dad has one, on the first Sunday drive a ditz in a Jeep backed into it at the gas station. Buddy told me his dad sat in the car while he went out and talked to her so his old man didn't flip out on her.
Saw this white one at the business next to mine while on my morning walk the other day. The guy was parked all alone in the back of the lot. Just where I would have parked it.

No placebo if you are a spirited driver and enjoy more than straight line pulls. But everyone's idea of what brings value varies. If you look at my history I spent money others wouldn't for 'fancy' JDM washers that likely many people we not even aware of existing for this platform.

But I found a personal value in sourcing them and installing them. Now truth be told, I did not feel any change to the car, but the concept behind the product was what convinced me that it was something I wanted on the Q. To each their own.

I also have a Shelby GT350R and just found out Verus Engineering makes some nice aero pieces for the car and all computer simulated and etc but one of their new products are 'vortex' generators that get placed on the rear roofline. And although I know their is science behind it, for me it seems too ricey and autozone-esk of an upgrade that because that car isn't exclusively track oriented I won't get them.
Hey nothing ventured nothing gained as they say~ If nothing else you buying the braces helps us make heads or tails if it was worth it or not, I personally thought they'd be largely pointless as the majority of braces off the shelf braces I've seen for the Q50 are simply mounted to existing OEM brace locations and don't do much to tie one corner of the car to the other.

Still proof is in the pudding as they say~
Pics of the Shelby or it didn't happen.

I can't help but stop and stare at that car every time I walk past it. Beautiful machine.

Little bit of a necro, and I know this thread is already derailed, buuuut… @PerfectWhiteQ50S did the drop bear oil pan come with a new gasket? I got in on a group buy and trying to figure out if I need to get a gasket coming so I have it on hand when the oil pan arrives
No - Drop Bear does not ship a gasket

^This. Before I installed the Dropbear oil pan, I ordered the oil pan gasket from Infiniti of Austin.

Thanks guys!
Has anyone received their pan yet from that group buy? I can't remember what thread was talking about it.
My RWD pan was the group before this AWD run and I am scheduling install. I believe I saw a FB post from DropBear on the current AWD run.

I don’t have Facebook, and I’m totally in the dark lol. Can someone with Facebook clue me in?

Dropbear had a group buy a few weeks ago for awd oil pans. I'll look up when it was when I get home. I haven't received mine or heard from them yet so I was just wondering if anyone else had.

Hogging out a solid billet of aluminum into an oil pan is impressive.
