I paired my iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.4) to my Q50 when I got the car. Now, when I use the voice prompts to call someone, many duplicate entries will show up on the screen and I have to select one even though they are all the same. Anyone else have this issue?

I tried deleting my phonebook from the Q50 and re-downloading it from the phone, but it didn't help.

I can take a picture if it would help show what I'm talking about.

Do you have Google and or facebook contact integration on your phone? That can cause entries that look like they match.

I just checked. I had Facebook contacts off but Google (Gmail) on. They are both off now. I will delete and resync everything to my Q50 tomorrow and see if it works. My contact list on my phone though is perfectly clean, only 1 number for the people I was seeing 6 or 7 entries for on the Q50's UI.

Yeah, I noticed iPhones and android phones can show a ton of dupes outside of the phone thanks to contact entries across apps and contact types. When something connects via Bluetooth sometimes it gets a raw list and doesn't parse it intelligently. Good luck.

Yup, you're exactly right. I was hoping to get Q50's phonebook to exactly match iPhone phonebook, but that might be impossible. It's not a huge issue, but would be nice to have fixed in a future InTouch update.

For the most part, but I have lots of contact sources on my HTC One (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and it's not smart about deduping them, even on the phone itself. However, any time I voice dial a call from the car, if it picks up multiples I just tell it yes to the first one and it's always right.

Yea same here it's just annoying to have to do another voice prompt or click an extra button. Oh well.

photos for phonebook

Is it possible to assign photos to contacts in the phone book on the Q50? I have photos assigned to some users in my contact list on iphone but apparently those don't transfer.

I was able to assign a personal photo to the User profiles on the car but not in the phonebook.

Ideas?

Menu > Settings > Phone/Mail > Phone Settings > Configure Phonebook settings > Delete Phonebook
