Anyone want to share their experiences running e30 or e20 in their car. From what I noticed the car feels sluggish at low rpm pressing on the pedal. and does better in the higher rpm. Also I've noticed the car pulls timing if I press 20% on pedal at low rpm.

Really can't provide much help without knowing your trim, how much boost your running or modifications....

That said most people who push past e20 with the stock fuel system reported sluggish behavior out of the car, there should be a few threads discussing the topic in more detail.

Plenty on here and n54 have had studdering and lag with higher E content. I think it's better with an Ecutek tune but not with a JB4. Better off just running a meth kit and keep it 93.

I think that's what I'll do when this tank is empty is just 91 w/ meth, no 93 in California

I'm on JB4, experienced a lot of sputtering and jerkiness on e30, had issues with lean AFRs and maxed out fuel trims.

On e23, not so much sputtering but same deal with maxed fuel trims

I don't use it anymore

Ive been on JB4 + map7 for 15,000 miles and had zero issues. When gas light comes on, i put 13.5 gallons of costco 93 octane in, then I go across the street and put in 4 gallons of Meijer E85. Never had a fuel cut or jerkiness.

I won't utilize it anymore unless I upgrade my fuel pumps. Risk isn't worth the reward at this point.

No way will I go corn. Risk out weighs the benefit.

A Q60 Youtuber just experienced a stuck #6 fuel injector from running E85:

And this is on his 2nd engine - the 1st engine was replaced under warranty.

I have been running an E20-25 fuel blend - prior to getting the flex fuel sensor I believed I was running an E25 fuel blend and did notice irregular performance from time to time - no doubt due to higher E content than estimated with my 1:4 ratio. I am running WMI and PM8 nozzles to compensate for the E content (fuel trims were maxed out too often at WOT with the BM5, BM7 or PM7’s) with the added meth of the larger nozzles my fuel trim numbers have lowered at WOT and with the flex fuel sensor I am now more reliably running between E20-25 with consistent acceleration performance. I totally agree with others that high E content is not meant for the VR30 stock fuel system / ECU maps. These stock injectors appear to be sensitive - there is even a TSB out on them - running a higher E fuel blend surely does not improve their reliability. Goal for me is to complete my fuel system upgrade (already have the LPFP from AMS installed) and will do a post Christmas present HPFP & Ecutek flex fuel tune while keeping my JB4/WMI setup. My goal is to have the dynamic fueling of a daily driver “safe” flex tune while maintaining the JB4 for kill map, logging, and all the benefits of WMI. Might see a dyno of 500whp with that setup?!??

... you want to run both an EcuTek tune and JB4 at the same time ...? Please don't, just don't do that. Speak with your tuner about goals and plans.

It makes perfect sense to have the jb4 control the WMI kit even if it's not adding any boost.
Fair enough; I had not thought of using JB4 only for the WMI because of the original wording around "JB4 for kill map". Anyone that wants WMI with EcuTek should contact EcuTek and request the feature be added. If enough people request the feature, they may develop it for the VR30.

My wording “kill map” was poorly chosen - with the JB4/WMI kit combo we can adjust the Boost Additive and when WMI kicks in (what boost PSI) - along with the logging / graphing.
