recently got my car tuned and the data log and boost bank gauges show a peak of 31 psi?? ik these engines can’t handle anything over 25psi. am i reading it wrong or what’s going on? i’ll upload a data log

You have to subtract atmospheric pressure which changes based on elevation but its 14.7ish at sea level

Yeah, that is psia "absolute pressure" which includes atmospheric pressure...as mentioned: 14.7 psi @ sea level...goes lower the higher elevation you are, say ~12.2 psi @ 5k ASL or 10.1 psi @ 10k ASL...basically it is the weight of the air.

What we typically see as 'boost' is psig "gauge pressure" and doesn't account for atmospheric pressure.

Use manifold gauge pressure. Boost doesn't take into account atmospheric.
