Where i live you're legally required to have a license plate on the front of your car. Now i dont want to drill into my brand new Q50 nor do i want to ruin the looks of it by putting a plate on the front. How many of you are planning to either trim the license plate so it fits inbetween the bottom grill and just zap strap it down, or using a license plate re-locator ect... Basically trying to find a method of mounting my license plate without having to drill into the car. any ideas? I might end up just not having one and eating the 80 dollar ticket.

Lucky for us Texans that have suffered with front plates, the state legislature repealed it as of September 2013. So my car won't even need one anywhere.

Also from the demo models I saw, the bumpers are predrilled with caps so you're not digging into the plastic to install a front plate.

afrosheen...sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the law did not pass as originally thought...It is still required, but apparently, by some glitch, they acidentally removed the $200 fine...so it is still illegal, but they can not fine you for it. Very confusing, but I won't be putting a plate on my car...I haven't had one on my Titan since I bought it in 2006 and never any problems.

yeah downside is it covers the parking sensor, I'm asking my dealership tomorrow if they can disconnect just the one it covers. Otherwise i'll have to turn the sound off majority of the time and just use the 360 surround view monitors.

here's an idea for to think about, you can have clear bra piece silk screened with your license number and stick on the front bumper.... without drilling holes and can peel off the clear bra if need be...

both options are illegal here. you either have the plate or you dont, cant have it in your windshield, cant be vinyl, cant cut or modify the plate. if you dont have it its a 105 dollar fine everytime. which im considering of eating when i do get the plate if i run out of options

dont buy the bracket until you have the car and you can line up the threads of the tow hook, im looking around and it seems to be a M22x1.75. I'm looking to get the Stillen ones.

I think stillen ones cost $80 ryt? Kinda expensive for just a bracket but I guess u get what u pay for!

You're forgetting your American History. When this country was created, we were the United STATES of America - the word "state" means "nation" - and the country was created as a confederation. After only about five years, the leaders saw that was not working, and that's when the Constitution was created, forming a more cohesive country. That Constitution wouldn't have been approved without concessions to some states to be quasi-independent. Though we've come a long way toward being one nation, in the past few years, we have retrogressed, and there are quite a few states which want to be more independent, and do not like the idea of national laws. History lesson is over.
