Does anyone else notice the gas door pop open when you trigger the unlock switch, and then hear the gas door click to attempt relocking itself after triggering the lock switch? (i.e. I had to push it closed as it popped open for the second time.) It's so annoying bcuz I just noticed it after hearing some weird clicking on the other side of my car when I hit the alarm/unlock. It seems like the latch isn't properly "clicking"; long story short, the gas door should operate exactly like the G37 right??

You should have dealer chk it out as the gas door actuator may be acting up
Actuator. That's the word I was looking for; sounds about right. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow for my update so I'll have them look at it then. Thanks man!

Which lock and unlock switch are you talking about? I can test it on my Q50 and let you know.

Any of them..door handle, I-key. Doesn't matter. It's the act of the car unlocking & locking the doors--which the gas door is included. My gas door doesn't seem to be quite clicking in sync with the unlock/lock trigger. I'm guessing it's a pretty simple fix for the service techs.

Mine seem to be ok. The gas door stay put when I lock/unlock from the door button or from the key fob. Looks like you have to make a trip to the dealer to get it fix. Good luck.

Yea I would definitely go to the dealer for that, you should be able to lock and unlock the car without the gas door moving and when its unlocked you just press the door in and then it will pop out.

I have the same gas door problem on my new Q50. I have not been to the dealer yet.
Yea take it to the dealer and have them fix it. Seems to be a minor quality oversight on some of the Qs. My dealer was able to repair it same day. Works as designed now.

I begin experiencing this over the past few weeks. It only seems to happen when I use the key fob to set the alarm instead of the car doors. Its no biggie for me, just annoying.

Bump for a DYI???

Nearest dealer is 150 miles....
Mine does this also.
Hit the unlock on the FOB and it releases the door to be used but if you Hit the lock on the FOB and haven't done anything with the fuel door it Pops open the fuel door rather than relocking it.....

Got your PM but this happened quite a while ago! If I can recall correctly, the dealer (Sewell Infiniti Dallas) was able to fix this in less than a cpl hrs. They simply replaced a defective actuator.

Fixed. The door was out of adjustment. Door was just a little outboard of the actuator and when it pushed out to lock it actually pushed it open.
Only issue is during the trouble shooting I removed the spring clip attached close to the hinge and didn't have enough time to figure out how it goes back together......works fine just the door doesn't have a detent holding firmly open.
