I would guess that you either have a faulty fuel level sensor, a short in the wiring, or the fuel level gauge is faulty.

I think you put too much gas in the tank.

To fix it, drill a hole in the tank.

Price = one gas tank.

Typically, if the gas gauge is pegged that high, it's due to the power wire being shorted. If the gas gauge is indicating empty, it's the ground wire.
