I'm going to sit this one out for a while. Since I like to buy and keep my car for an extended period of time the reliability of the vehicle is a key issue. Right now there are just too many problems surfacing with the InTouch system for me to put my money down and trust that everything will be OK. I will wait and see how Infiniti deals with these issues. Hopefully they will fix them shortly. If not, it will be time for me to look elsewhere. :(

Make sure you let the dealer know they are losing sales because on the InTouch issue. That will get corporate's attention.
I sent them a note today. They know what's going on.

When they told us about the power knob reboot, I thought I might be able to live with that while they fix the problem. However when Q50Aggie's car failed to respond to even that I decided it was too much.

I feel for you guys that are dealing with these frustrations right now. It would take a lot out of the joy of owning the car. It is precisely because of this risk that I would not preorder the car. I wanted to see what happened when people started driving it and at least see a few reviews. It turns out that the experiences shared by people in this forum have been much more informative than any of the reviews thus far.

I had a friend from Nissan tell me today that he wouldn't recommend buying a car like this in its first year run until about March of next year. Gee, if it takes that long to get it right I would be tempted to wait for next year's model if I hadn't already sprung for something else by then.

The car itself is amazing; it is just the inTouch and Navigation system that is having some serious reliability issues for me.

Nice new avatar Simpson!

Like I've said a million times, it never hurts to wait. Bugs will get squashed, options will change, prices will drop and/or lease rates will improve. Maybe they'll find a few fans laying around and ventilate the seats by the time you decide. ;)

So after a month owning the GS, I finally got around to using the ventilated seats today. I wasn't using them coz I thought they were gimmicky and only for use with the heated seats. But omg I'm never getting a car without them again :D

LOL that's what everyone says. I thought my father was exaggerating when he got his Avalon a few years ago and said those exact words. I'm loving mine too. In southern states they should be mandatory. :)

So are the GS seats ventilated or air conditioned? There is definitely a difference.

One is a fan, the other is actually cooled.

My M and my wife's RX had/have the a/c seats and they are awesome. My biggest bummer when I went from the M to the G - but the performance made up for that :)

I used to turn on the a/c seats in my M and not tell people. It was funny to see them squirming around. The sensation is like you're wearing a wet bathing suit after a while so when people don't realize they're on it can be great fun :D
