Getting ready to say goodbye to my favorite car ever. My 2006 M45 Sport/Tech. Love at first sight. As excited as I am to get my Q, sitting in one didn't capture me like my first Infiniti love.

Pics from today.

She's a beauty! Looks like you took very good care of her! I felt the same way letting go of my G35 but needed to move up to a 4dr and so far its been a pleasure having the Q50! I will miss driving stick though! :(

Under normal circumstances I would say "c'mon, that's only 2 people. you'll always have a few bugs out there but it's a small percentage of owners that have that problem"

However, given the Infiniti delays getting the Q out and the relatively small number of people that have them - even on just this forum - that count of 2 is a preeeetttty high percentage. I don't blame you for being wary.

I'm going to try to get my first Q test drive in today and if I can work a deal I may leave with one (although I don't think anyone has my specs on site around here) but I'm also a little anxious about the lockups so I'm not sure.

Let's see what plays out though. I'm hoping it's something that can be corrected with an update or two . . . fingers crossed!

Why replace the M in the first place? Looks nice.
Thanks for being the voice of reason! Cleaned the M to bring to car max this morning. As I drove, I asked myself "what's really going to be better". Certainly don't need a car. At 7 years old, I will likely have some repairs ahead of me. Having said that, it will cost less to own than a new car!

So I guess the reason, if I do pull the trigger on the Q as planned, is I've had the M for 7 years and feel like something different.

We'll see!

I'm still wrangling with the same issue. My 2006 M45 is just such a great car - I really love it and don't want to part with it. I really love the rare "Bourbon Interior!" I'm starting to feel like a "car hoarder", but I'm not Jay Leno and don't have the space to keep them. I think it's like being madly in love with 2 women! What will I do?

Do what we all do, upgrade to the younger, smarter woman. She will age too. ;)
