Some Graphite Shadow:

I'm really gravitating towards the Graphite Shadow for a number of reasons.

I have Malbec Black now. It's a beautiful color, but here in the desert of Arizona, it's very dark, it gets dirty quite easily (and dents and dings are very noticeable) and most times only I can notice the color. The same reason for why I probably wouldn't get the Black Obsidian (not to mention having a black car in 110 degree weather is less than practical).

The verdict is still out on the Liquid Platinum, Moonlight White, Venetian Ruby, and Chestnut Bronze. Out of these four, I'm gravitating towards the Chestnut Bronze moreso only because I like the tone of the brown. I also predict that unlike Moonlight White, Chestnut Bronze will be a rare/low volume color choice and I like having a unique color on my car. I'm not totally sure yet on the Liquid Platinum's visual blend of the darker wheels with the lighter silver tone paint of the car. For me, the combination doesn't quite work.

So, it's a toss-up between the Venetian Ruby, Chestnut Bronze, and Graphite Shadow.

That graphite shadow just keeps gettin sexier and sexier... Quickly becoming my fav...best shots of it yet ... I have the same problem with the heat here in Vegas too... So while Malbec is beautiful and every car looks amazing in obsidian they are both out for me... Graphite moonlight white and Hagane blue are my top choices right now ...

Yeah the GS color is awesome in the sunlight. Even though I pre ordered Hagane blue, since the first production run didn't have a match for my dealer, I could very easily switch to graphite to get the car sooner. None of the colors look bad, and I'm about a shrug away from checking to see if graphite is an option.

Hey--it's like I've been saying.

I have my favorite colors on paper, but who knows. When you see that Hagane Blue pulled up at the dealership, in full form, clean, and in person, you might instantly fall in love!

Who knows, really..

Yep... there's something about this color that really does the car well. I'd go with it.
Welcome newcomer!

My perspective is--when it comes to color popularity, in general, Black, Gray, and Silver seem to be near the top---Followed by White and Red, and then Blue/Green/Purple, Brown/Tan are usually near the bottom.

Gray/Graphite Shadow is probably going to be probably very popular of a color choice, so if standing out is important to you (particularly among other Q50's), I'd definitely keep that in mind!

Thank you, this looks like a great forum. I totally hear your point about it being a popular color and wanting to standout... definitely something to keep in mind. The true test is to also see everything in person, can't wait! :D

So I guess I ordered my car today. Graphite/Graphite. Gasser Sport, premium/Nav, deluxe touring, tech, spare tire.

Got the sales person to email me something in writing saying the deposit is refundable just in case. Due in Mid-August.

Decided I wanted the folding rear seat and bigger Trunk. Don't drive too many miles so hybrid would be nice but I'll pass this time around.

Looking forward to living vicariously through everyone's pics & posts while I wait!

Congrats jKay! That's the car I originally ordered but I ended up changing for the hybrid...with the higher residual onI the hybrid and only $1,900 additional cost, out only increased my monthly payment by $9 a month for a fully loaded hybrid sport.

Wow - $9/ mo more? That's amazing.

I really would like to have gone for the hybrid but the folding back seat and trunk size are the deal breakers for me. I have spent too many looong hours driving the wife's SUV on long trips because we didn't have room for everything and I just don't want to do that anymore - no tech goodies to help with the drive and the seats are uncomfortable. I'm really torn because that hybrid seems sweet but the trunk coupled with low miles per year just pushes me back to the gasser for now.

Congrats on your decision. It's funny how few options there are with these cars early on yet so many people are not 100% decided on what they are getting. Just shows how much of a vaue prop that hybrid is!

Yea, this is assuming the residual for a 12,000 mile per year is 60% for a HYBRID SPORT, and 59% for a gas sport. The residuals should be released later today or tomorrow....We shall see!

That's why I said I 'guess' I ordered my car - no official numbers yet so hard to tell what the exact payment is going to be. I also want to see if there are any loyalty offers. The dealer doesn't know it yet but if there are I will be maki them apply it on top of the deal I already have which should make it even better. I'm just not sure Infinit is going to do anything for existing customers right off the bat.

Waiting to see. I don't want to rock the boat yet until the numbers come out just in case they are worse :)

I'm guessing my lease will run just below 600 per month, 39 months @ 12k miles. I compared some numbers from an M37 the dealer ran for me a few months ago that, with VPP and loyalty, got within 4500 of the total of the Q50 I ordered.

The thing that I don't like (already) is my insurance company quoting me at double what I already pay, and my current car has full coverage.

what car and options did you order? Check with Geico, I am getting really low rates on the Q50 full coverage...about $61 a month on top of my $50 a month for my Nissan Titan full coverage...for a total of $111 a month for both vehicles.

I'm with Geico. I picked a non-Sport Premium with wood, deluxe touring and a spare. I already pay $150 per month with them on my 04 sedan. This zip code is murderous when it comes to rates, plus I don't have multiline with them so that hurts too. Maybe I will insure some property or whatever to get the rate down.

Last year when the hailstorm hit Dallas, it was in and around my zip code. Rates went up across the board. They raised mine $20 and will only lower it if I attend an annual defensive driving course. My record has a single no-fault accident in the past decade and no speeding tickets.

Yeah, I pay like $80/month full coverage and lowest available deductibles for my G37. I can't imagine it doubling in cost. THAT would be an issue!!!
