I would try a clay bar if you have it, and if that didn't work, a very mild polish made for removing swirl marks. Using it by hand rather than with an electric polisher might be enough for what you are seeing.
I’m gonna get a small clay bar and see how it works. Any recommendations in terms of brand? I have used both the "real" clay and "synthetic" clay from Griot's Garage - I prefer their synthetic clay. If you are looking to buy something local, I think Meguiar's makes a kit that has clay and lubricant.I’m gonna get a small clay bar and see how it works. Any recommendations in terms of brand? LOL...I thought other Q owners were hazing you after your emblem removal.Hey guys I just g out around to taking off my rear emblems which I think looks great. One problem however, after taking off the q50 letters, a haze was left around the surrounding letters. The letters would fade away more over time but what’s the best way to get rid of the surrounding haze? Thanks! View attachment 116911

I can only share my story with another car. dark gray. after an emblem was removed, the shop buffed the location. I had no issues.
