Who knows if this is definitive, but the Edmonds site:

2014 Infiniti Q50 Q50 Sedan 3.7L V6 7-speed Automatic Features and Specs

lists the specs for all ten variations of the Q50. It does not detail the option packages. According to their specs, the five AWD models will have the heated steering wheel, even the base model. The other five will not. One more mystery that we'll just have to wait and find out later.

I guess it makes sense to put on the AWD as they are "built" for snow and cold weather. Maybe we in the south need a steering wheel that cools. Heck, maybe the RWD should have cooling seats too since we obviously don't need the warm steering wheel. :)

Gets nice and toasty. Tried it at night while I was up in Canada. Nice feeling.

According to the manual(yeah, I've started reading it it), when you set the steering wheel to be heated, it's automatic, and it turns off after 30 minutes. I would think that's more than long enough to be on.
