Hi All I have a 2014 q50 I have been hearing a slight noise under the engine area it was so minimal I didn’t make much of it. Now when I accelerate I have less power and the rpm goes high any thoughts?
You might want to check your ATF for a low level if your car is shifting higher than usual. Low ATF will cause the transmission to slip the gears. What does the color of the ATF look like? Dark red? Black? That could be an indication that the transmission is burning the ATF for getting too hot from either overloading or slipping gears. If the ATF level is good and doesn't look burnt then it might be the clutches inside the transmission are slipping and need to be rebuilt or replaced. Hopefully it isn't that.
For lack of additional information, that's my guess as to where to start looking.
My 3.7l air filters are in need of replacements. But im not sure which brand filter should i replace it with. The Afe dry s or k&n oiled? Note that the afe cost an extra $40.
Afe is supposedly better quality and filters 98.5% compared to k&n 98%.
Question is the aFe really worth that extra...
I’m UK based and am trying to source a replacement thermostat for the above vehicle, however I’m struggling.

Would adding a beefier heat exchanger be a good/recommended supporting mod when adding a JB4? I was thinking it may reduce the chance of knock by reducing combustion temps, and also allow you to run more boost. Bear in mind I've got a SS so I have some more freedom with adding boost compared to...
