That 3rd gen was the last good looking Acura. They've been shooting themselves in the foot for almost a decade.

I also had a 2001 CL, just like yours. Mine was all black. I put 200k on it with minimal maintenance. Loved that car.I had a 2001 3.2CL Type-S, 2004 TL 6-Speed Manual, 2007 TL Type-S, and a 2010 TL SH-AWD 6-Speed Manual before switching to the Q50. Like you, when it came time to trade in the 2010 TL, I was hoping for a redesigned 5th gen model, but when I found out it was still at least a year away, it lead me to the Q50.
That was probably the last Japanese sedan to look as awesome as the Q50. The past two Ms and G37 looked nice, don't get me wrong, but that 3rd-gen TL and Q50 have wonderful proportions and European good looks. I remember not even liking that TL design that much when it debuted, but a good friend got one (still has it at over 150,000 miles!) and I've been in love with the style ever since.I'm noticing in a bunch of threads with former Acura TL owners.
