sooo...when i lock the Q with my fob the honk sounds once...anyway to change that to a beep beep? and when i unlock the car there is no sound...anyway to change that to a beep?

I did not like the honking either (wakes up the neighbors). Press the button on the door handle it beeps twice.

Hold down the lock and unlock button on the key fob at the same time and it will turn off the honk and will only flash the lights to lock it.

yeah thats wat i've been doing BUT sometimes i walk away and forget so awake the neighbors i do lol

Will the panic button still be affective?

My Mazda mpv van had a similar thing where it doesn't beep with the fob and if you hit the panic button, it only flashes the lights and theres no noise

ok...just tried it out...and it worked! so when you have it on no horn mode it just lights up...no beeping...with fob...do it again and it puts it back to horn mode...

The panic button will trigger a very loud horn and light show from the vehicle. I've used it several times to find cars buried in inventory and the Q is by far the loudest they have made in a while.

Fun fact, canceling the panic is easy with the unlock button.

I was curious if it would work after turning off the beep, one of my previous car had a similar thing but the alarm didn't work and only the lights flashed, but the horn worked fine though

Yes it should work the same no matter what the horn answer back setting is.

I tried it out, and it doesn't beep when I press the door handle or reach for the door handle, and it doesn't beep from the key fob either.

All you have to do is hold it for about five second. This will turn the honk off completely and your corners will light up when you lock it.

I expect the horn sound on the cars 10 years old. I always liked Audi, Volvo and other, even much cheaper new cars with "chirp sound when locked and unlocked. It is partially build in Q50 but it is disabled when you disable the horn stupid sound. I wish there would be other options. I do like the door touch options, but the chirping would be cool.
