Hey guys, I am new to this thread, but I work as a sales consultant for Infiniti of Kirkland in Washington State. I am making this thread to let everyone know that they can pm if they have any questions about the Q50. I am trying to participate in some of these forums, but if there are specific questions, do not hesitate to ask. I will give you strait up answers and if you have questions about current deals or want to take a look at one, I am more than happy to assist with that as well.

Thought that as well when he mentioned kirkland! One of the best videos we've seen as we were eagerly anticipating the release of the Q50!:D

I have done a couple and I will be doing delivery CD's for every model, as well as making a youtube channel. I am just in the process of doing so while being able to juggle work as well. I will be doing the Q50 first and once I have it done, I will post it on this forum.

Just hit the push start button twice without your foot on the gas and everything will turn into accessory mode. A third time would turn it all off.

The dates for the InTouch app is still not certain. It is something that many people have been asking about and it is frustrating that we cannot give people an exact date. It should be coming out any time now, possibly with another update to the system to speed it up. I will keep this forum up to date as soon as I hear anything about this topic.

Yes, I am still working on these and will be doing some today. I will get them on YouTube in the next week or so (hard because of work). If anyone has anything specific they want me to post, just tell me on this thread or pm me.

Hi. Thanks for your help. Do you think the new software update will include a memory setting on the InTouch so I don't have to change it every time from the stupid clock default? Same for lower display? Also any guess if the software will be able to update itself in the future over the net without visiting the dealer? And one more, I can receive text messages but when I start my car next time the old message is gone. I think it should keep the old messages in memory, right?
Thanks.

I do not know if the updates will change the default settings. I would assume it is something that will be worked on over time, but it is too early to know for sure.

As for updating itself, I would guess that the minor updates will be able to be done without going in, but will take a long time. It would probably be a better idea to do it at the dealership, especially if it is free.

For the texts messages, it all depends on the phone. For instance, Iphones only have the texting capabilities if it is plugged in. The system no longer has any internal memory other than for navigation, so I don't think it is possible to see your previous text messages either. Again, different phones have more options because their software is not restricted as much as Apple.

Matt, careful answering that question. If he has a clock up top, he has no Navi, and therefore no GSM chip in his car. That means absolutely zero chance of over-the-air (OTA) updates. Period.

And I doubt very much that you'll be able to make the default clock change, but sooner or later someone is going to figure out some sort of hack for that.

Yeah, I made a stupid decision to skip Navi. As you said, hopefully there will be someone in the future to figure it out. Even back view camera would be better than the clock. Thanks for the answers.
