nice vid. the engine sounds different than in my 2011 G37x. just about everyone who's driven a Q50 says it's quieter, but does it, in fact, sound different?

It is quieter inside the cabin; the engineers have done a nice job of minimizing excessive road noise. However, you can still gracefully hear the VQ rev! :D

That's if it's not dubbed. . .

It has to be dubbed. You don't hear any wind noise from the chase car do you? I know there are fancy directional mics that can cut out the noise the chase car is making but most of the time, stuff like this is dubbed with audio from inside the driven car's cabin or from a sound studio.

At any rate, since they're using a horizontal muffler setup like the G37 coupe, swapping exhaust sound may be as simple as swapping the muffler. Or the straight pipe...there were some people doing that to make the sedan sound like the coupe.
