good afternoon to all my Infiniti Q50 rwd has just failed and I connected the computer and I vote the code p0720 I want to know where that sensor is because my car is rwd

The output speed sensor is located inside of the transmission. The rear extension of the transmission has to be separated from the transmission assembly in order to access the sensor (#9).

If the sensor needs replacement, you're looking at a big job.

I'd like to know if the OP has a 2014-2015 non-hybrid Q50 before pointing him at the TCM/control valve body, since the ITB only applies to those years. It's not a given that replacing the valve body is the correct procedure in every case for a P0720, however replacing the valve body is a lot simpler than cracking open the transmission to access the output speed sensor. Either replacement can be a challenge if the owner decides to do the repair work themselves.
