Infiniti Q50 Sedan Named Best Chinese Premiere at 2013 Shanghai Auto Show - autoevolution

April 30th 2013

Infiniti's brightest star shun its light at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show and dazzled the crowd so much it received the “Best Chinese Premiere” by the organizing committee of the event.

The award was presented to Daniel Kirchert, Managing Director of Infiniti China, by Mr. He Yi, General Manager of sohu.com’s auto business unit and deputy editor-in-chief of the online magazine.

We are honoured and very proud that our new premium Q50 saloon received this much-respected award,” said Kirchert. “This is a kickstart for the Q50 in China. We are looking forward to the market launch in spring 2014 with much confidence.”

Las year, Infiniti moved its headquarters to Hong Kong. At the ongoing Shanghai Auto Show, they announced local production of two models specifically designed to meet Chinese customer demands, the long-wheelbased versions of the Q50 and the QX50, which will be built in by the Infiniti-Dongfeng Motors Joint Venture in Xiangyang.

This is good news to me, at least Infiniti took best premiere at one of the worlds largest auto show's, the China car market is growing so much more faster than any car market in the world, so this just makes Infiniti look a whole lot better.

Can't wait to see how good or bad the Q50 sells in China.

This is good for the China economy, When jeremy clarkson went over to china all he could talk about is all the fake cars and coffee shops. They are all knock offs. And now to shed some light for the auto industry over there they have big automakers coming over. The only problem is how will this long wheel based Q50 is gonna look and how will the reliability be compared to the ones that are made in the states.

Didn't you know everything is made in china ?:p

I think anything that brings additional cash flow to the brand that can be used for future R&D to continue to produce incredible products is a great thing !
