The 2014 Infiniti Q50 won’t just bring a new generation of aggressive styling and performance to the Japanese automaker’s lineup, but will raise the bar in terms of personal luxury within the segment.

Equipped with the intelligent i-Key, Infiniti’s newest feature is called “My car knows me” and will have the Q50 remembering everything about the driver from seating position, cabin temperatures, routes home, to even displaying photos of friends and family on one of the car’s dual touch-screens. Each of the two i-Keys supplied with each vehicle will store personal settings for two different drivers. The data is saved automatically and can be updated through the vehicle’s touch screen with the ability to store up to 16 photographs.

Memory functions will vary between countries and Q50 models, but for the most part, the Q50 will at the very least remember each driver’s seating position and steering wheel preferences just by carrying the key. In total, there are 96 selectable settings across 10 functions, allowing the driver to optimally sync their experience to the vehicle.

Hi, The key pricture shown on your post only have 3 buttons, is it the new one?
I just got my (Q50S) key have 4 buttons on it. (same like my 2010 G37X also have 4 buttons on the key)
Please let me know am I getting the old key? Thank you!

Neither did I. I was shocked that I didn't get a key chain at all with my keys when I bought my Q50. Year before though, dealerships would give out tons of stuff when you bought a car. Especially a car of that price. How the times have changed....

They stopped handing out the clips, not sure when. Ask your dealer to find a few for you, someone there probably has a drawer full of them from lease returns. Took me a few attempts, but one of the sales reps at my dealer found a bunch and mailed me a few

Issue with pictures:

Anyone else having an issue with loading the pictures via the USB or can you provide instructions? I have read the manual several times and i think it maybe related to my USB stick but was looking for some input

I believed it only recognizes 100 x 100 px pictures saved in jpeg format.

Found the problem. It actually accepts many size photos. The USB stick needs to be formatted as FAT32. NTFS doesn't work.

That makes sense.. Now the question is, can u upload and attach a pic to the guest account?

I'll try tonight. So far just tried on main two drivers. Worked....but it actually doesn't show the driver's picture when you start up. It only shows the picture of the other drivers whose keys aren't in the car. About 40 seconds after I start the car it says "Welcome Randy" but doesn't show my pic. Same thing for driver #2. But I know the pics uploaded because they show up as an icon to switch to when the other key is in the car.

That's what happened to me as well. I can only see the pics attached to other drivers, but can't figure out how to replace the guest.

Let me go to the car and try an idea that just came to mind

yeah except the key fob doesn't automatically put the car into your personal driver settings if that feature is on your car!!!! how stupid is that!!!! but awesome that i can see my own pic...haha annoying and stupid!

The clip no longer comes with the keys. When you go into your Infiniti dealer, some of the sales consultants will have some available at certain times of the year. You can ask if they have any, but it is not certain that they will have any.
