I have been a long time Infiniti owner, I have owned the G37X, M56 and JX. I bought the Q50 when it first came out and has had these issues:

1. Slow responsiveness of touch screen.
2. GPS loosing signal and going to a blank screen.
3. Electric steering locking while in drive (major safety issue!)
4. Doors locking and not able to get into our out of the car! (major safety issue!)

I signed a 39 month lease and I am stuck...hopefully things continue to break so the car can fit into the lemon law and I can get rid and break this lease.

Based on these issues, I do not recommend the Infiniti Q50...wait 3 years before buying it.

That sucks your having all these issues. I've had mine for going on two months and have had no issues. I love my Q50s.

Have you had your system updated. About a week after I got mine there was a software update on the touch screen and GPS system.

First day owner here and no complaints other than the RFTs suck. .... Hardly the worst car of 2014.

This is my 4th Infiniti and they got it wrong! The Nav system takes longer than a Windows Vista system to start up. It plays songs in my iPod Nano in random order. I can receive text msgs on my IPhone 5 but can't send one of the auto replies. Every function in the car is redundant and frankly is so much of a distraction that it is dangerous to try to operate anything and drive. I did not get the tech package but did get the back up camera. Unlike my prior cars there is no sonar and the resolution on the camera looks like something from the 70's. The predictive lines only show after the system boots up. If you plan to back up then get comfy. I would turn it in today if they would let me out of my lease. Do not buy this car!

Presumably though a lot of that will be addressed with software fixes.
But your right, some things were released before they were ready.

I still think they should just detect when the car has been off a while and pre-boot the InTouch system as soon as you open the drivers side door.
With that and some software fixes I think it would all be good.
Well, hopefully it will be good with just the software fixes anyway.

BOOOMM!!! Guys when you buy a new car model year! There will be Bug's!

You take this risk when you jump on the first models!!!

If you don't like it go buy Honda or Toyota and get on with your boring life!
Yes...you take a risk folks!

You take a risk your steering failing on ya!

Its A-OKAY! Its the first year model!

Just bend over and take it in the pooper too!

Wrong forum to cry wolf

Amazing that this your first post but welcome any way...I like the "4. Doors locking and not able to get into our out of the car! (major safety issue!)" says it all. Good Luck with your law of lemons, not happening.

Well, while we're all moaning and complaining I'll throw my list in here as well...

- Had / have the steering issue. Car has been in shop since Tuesday and found out it will be until at least next Tuesday

- Proximity sensors always trip out, false alarm...probably from blowing snow / road splash

- When I use the button on the driver door to unlock the door (I know you just need to put your fingers inside the handle and pull now, but old habits die hard) sometimes all doors EXCEPT the driver door will unlock.. pushing it multiple times will just cycle the other 3 doors.

- Radio / Climate, etc useless until intouch boots up

- Car takes too long to put into Drive. Good 2 second delay for me - i'll sometime hit the gas and then realize it's not yet in gear.

- The iPhone connection app to lock/unlock doors, etc is useless and just doesn't do anything.

- Still don't have the apps that sync to the phone

- Camera resolution sucks. My G37x coupe was much more clear

I agree that most of this is just software related and poorly tested / pre-release versions that can be fixed. Being a software developer myself though, I am pretty frustrated that they'd let it out like this.

Oh, and come on... how the **** hard is it to add remote start to these things already? You can make a steer-by-wire system (sort of) but can't do remote start yet? I'd pay extra for remote start than DAS any day.

This is my 4th Infiniti and I'm just not used to the car being so buggy. Had a 2008 G35x sedan, then a 2010 G37x Coupe, wife has a G37x sedan, and now I have a loaner Q50 while mine is in the shop at 3 weeks old. I would give anything to have my G37x Coupe back :-/ I'd gladly buy it out at the inflated price to get out of the Q

Sorry to hear you are having these issues! I have not had 2, 3, or 4 happen to me at all. The dealer did tell me I needed to wait for the apps to load before using the Infiniti InTouch, but that takes about 35 seconds. It doesn't bother me because it's basically like a smart phone interface. That's about how long it takes to turn on an iPhone so it's kind of expected.

Oye...one of these threads again. We know there's issues with certain aspects of the car just like every new model. I don't think its fair to say its the worst car though. I've had mine since August and I've definitely had my share of problems with it but I still love the car. On top of that, haven't had an issue since updates came out.

They don't have the software to support the iPHone 5 yet. Remember, this car's software is still beta right now. I kind of feel cool driving a model so new they still haven't gotten all the software on it yet. In fact, it's still about a 2 - 3 month waiting list to get a Hybrid S customized the way you want it.

I'm gonna try to replicate this issue.

You've got to admit, you guys are coming out of the woodwork for this thread. :p

I'm a little surprised that some of you'd still want to keep coming back around with the same song.

I guess some voices just need to be heard again and again...
